This video clip is part of “The Joneses Unplugged,” a Hallmark movie. In the story, Jackson creates a fake account as a perfect guy named Dash Shepherd. He was able to attract the attention of Amanda, the lady he likes. In this clip, he admits the truth to Amanda.
Man: I’ve got something I need to tell you. I’m Dash ….
Man: Wait, you knew?
Woman: Not right away, but I figured it out. Dash’s photo was
everything I described to you and you conveniently
happened to be at our first date location when he stood
Man: I’m really sorry, Amanda. Seriously, I know I’ve been an
idiot. I shouldn’t have done any of this. Truth be told, I
just wanted to get to know you better. Still, that’s no
excuse. You have every right to be mad at me.
Woman: Because the guy pretended to be something that he’s
not? Sad to say, but that’s not a first for me, but actually,
Dash made me realize some things. I’ve been searching
for this perfect guy for forever, and suddenly there’s Dash
and on paper, he’s got everything that I’ve been hoping for
Man: But what?
Woman: The more I thought about him, the more he seemed kind
of boring. I mean, where do you go from perfect? There’s
no mystery or room for fun. So why would I want
Man: Yeah. Perfect is the worst.
Woman: Right? I just … I want a real life honest guy.
Man: You deserve it.
Woman: So thank you for catfishing me, Jackson.
Man: My pleasure.
